In 2010, Natalie Johnson and Shawn Russell met at the Winter Equestrian Festival and began their journey in the horse world together. After working in other business opportunities with the Russell Family, in 2014 Shawn and Natalie were married and decided to pursue their dream of having a family-run horse farm together. They purchased the former Ashmore Equestrian Center and opened their new business Oakmore Equestrian Inc. Blending Natalie’s competition and teaching background in all three jumping divisions, with Shawn’s sales backgrounds, they opened Oakmore to offer the best of all worlds. Our training goals center on intensive instruction for peak performance in the show ring. Our sales program focuses on matching the best horse and rider and watching them grow together in the competition ring. In 2022, Natalie and Shawn moved their home base to Ocala, FL, "the horse capital of the world," to be closer to the World Equestrian Center shows.
